Support a Permanent School for Girls in Rural Afghanistan
Building a Better Future Together
Today, more than 300 girls between the ages of 6 and 14 attend this school every day. However, the school currently operates in a rented, makeshift building that was never intended to function as a proper educational facility. The structure is overcrowded, deteriorating, and lacks essential facilities, making learning extremely difficult.
Because there are not enough classrooms, many students are forced to sit outside during lessons. In the summer, they endure extreme heat, and in the winter, they sit in cold and harsh weather, exposed to dust, wind, and rain. Despite these conditions, the girls continue to attend classes every day, driven by their determination to learn and build a better future.
In addition, due to unpaid rent, the school is under constant threat of closure. If the building is lost, these girls could be left with no access to education at all.
Why a New School Is Urgently Needed
Education for girls in rural Afghanistan is extremely limited and fragile. While families are eager to educate their daughters, the lack of safe and adequate school infrastructure remains one of the biggest barriers.
Continuing to operate in a rented building is neither sustainable nor humane. Each year, costs rise, overcrowding worsens, and the risk of eviction grows. Without enough classrooms, students are left learning outdoors in unsafe and uncomfortable conditions, something no child should have to endure.
A permanent, purpose built school is the only solution to ensure stability, safety, and dignity for these students.
Our Vision
A Permanent School for Girls
The planned school will include:
- 10 permanent classrooms for grades 1 to 6
- Enough indoor space to accommodate all students
- Safe and weather protected learning environments
- Reduced overcrowding and improved teaching conditions
- Facilities that support both students and teachers
- This school will ensure that no girl has to sit outside in extreme weather in order to receive an education.
Project Goal: $50,000
To bring this project to life, we aim to raise $50,000, which will cover:
- Purchase of the land
- Construction of the school building
- Basic educational infrastructure and facilities
- Every donation, no matter the size, helps move these girls from uncertainty to stability, from outdoor lessons to real classrooms, and from temporary solutions to lasting hope.
Why Your Support Matters
For these girls, education is their only path to opportunity. In rural Afghanistan, schools for girls are rare, and safe learning spaces are even rarer.
By supporting this project, you are:
- Ensuring girls can learn indoors, safely, and with dignity
- Protecting long term access to education
- Empowering future women leaders and educators
- Strengthening entire communities through knowledge
- This school will stand as a lifeline for hundreds of girls and a foundation for a stronger, more educated future.
